Gypsie and Sophie are the two very lucky cats that live at Sausal Winery, however all of us at Sausal are very lucky to have them too.

When Gypsie was just a kitten, she wandered into Sausal Winery but then quickly disappeared. Not long after, she was found again with a litter of kittens in the cellar. Most of the kittens didn't make it, but one survived and was named Sophie. Often Gypsie and Sophie can be found lounging around the office, tasting room or porch. Occasionally you might see Sophie chasing a bunny through the vineyard or Gypsie stocking a bird on the lawn. But, if youbring a lunch to the picnic tables, Sophie will surely turn up.

Cellar Cats Red honors Gypsie and Sophie, with a sketching ofthem on the label. A local artist, Saundra Farnsworth, drew the label. She spent several days at the winery watching and taking pictures of Gypsie and Sophie, to insure the sketching would capture their likes exactly.
